Goal(s): The Mathematics and Inclusion project aims to contribute to the training of teachers, school managers and undergraduate students, in inclusive pillars. Therefore, from an inclusive perspective, it is proposed to demystify the teaching and learning process of Mathematics in Basic Education, especially in Elementary School I. The course will take place remotely and asynchronously, with an emphasis on four pillars: respect, equity , diversity and inclusion. Our priority will be to reach small towns that do not have direct and frequent access to discussions about diversity and inclusion in education, especially regarding Mathematics.
Motivation: In Brazil, Elementary School I is conducted by professionals graduated in Pedagogy, but during the training of these professionals, the time dedicated to the study and deepening of Mathematics has not been sufficient. Thus, we seek to associate the continuing education of these professionals, with regard to the teaching of Mathematics, to the pillars of inclusive education, also considering cultural and social aspects present in the student's reality.
Expected result(s): From the proposed objective, and considering the plurality in the school environment, we seek to actively and effectively contribute to the continuing education of professionals in Basic Education, related to the teaching of Mathematics. In this context, by sharing pedagogical strategies and promoting the discussion of teaching from an inclusive perspective, as an accessible reality in the teaching and learning process, we hope to enhance the training of these professionals.
