Holds a Degree in Chemistry from the University of the Northwest of Rio Grande do Sul - UNIJUÍ, a Master's in chemistry from the Regional University of Blumenau- FURB and a PhD in Chemistry from the Federal University of Santa Catarina - UFSC. Did a Post-doctoral internship at Fritz Haber - Max-Planck-Gesellschaft and at the Federal University of Santa Catarina. Currently acting as a Professor at the Regional University of Blumenau, since 2015 and President of the Structuring Teaching Nucleus (NDE) of the Degree Course, working in Research, Teaching and Extension. Research professor at the Nanostructures and Polymers Group - GNEP, mentoring undergraduate and graduate students in Chemistry. She works with Physical Chemistry for Chemistry courses - Bachelor and Teacher's License degree, Chemical Engineering and Pharmacy. During her graduate studies in Chemistry, she has worked with Experimentation and Instrumentation for Chemistry Teaching. In acting as President of the NDE, in extension and as a teacher of the subjects for Chemistry Teaching, she has dedicated herself to encouraging the scientific calling of teenagers and young people in an inclusive way, guiding future teachers in the elaboration of didactic materials that privilege autonomy and the importance of shaping critical and active student/citizens.
The research areas are focused on the preparation of nanomaterials with different applications, among them, systems with photoprotective activity, optical sensors, photocatalysts for degradation of organic pollutants, materials with antimicrobial activity, valuing the use of biomaterials and in the synthesis of low or zero toxicity.
